2013 a stellar year for Firefly vom Wolvesden!
"That girl is on Fire!"
As the snow starts to fly and another year draws to an end it is with great pride I take this time too look back and reflect on our accomplishments together as a new team.
"Fire" came to me in July of this year. She started learning the sport of dock diving and in only two and a half weeks earned her Senior Big Air title with 5 qualifying legs all at her first DockDogs competition. That same weekend she earned her CGN, Canine Good Neighbour certificate through the Canadian Kennel Club.
The following DockDogs competition Fire entered a new discpline, Speed Retrieve, and came in 2nd place with a time of 6.720 seconds.
Fire placed again in the Turbo Division the next competition and placed in the Master Division finals. Fire had a whopping personal best jump of 20.8'ft
On August 6th Fire tried her paw at sheep herding and earned her HIC, she passing her Herding Instinct Test with flying colours.
Not only was Fire a natural when it came to dock diving but she also showed amazing talent in the sport of Disc Dogs. In only 4 trials she earned her Retrieval Proficiency Test (RPT), Disc Dog (DD) and the Basic Disc Dog (BDD) proficiency title. That's not all, she was the 2013 Fall Disc League Novice Single Disc CHAMPION!!
To end the year off Fire won the award of Top Ranked dog in Senior Big Air in Ontario DockDogs for 2013.
Looking forward to 2014 with Fire!!
